I’ve used slug guns on limited-weapon hunts a couple times, and they surprised me with how capable they are inside that 100–150 yard range. The accuracy with good sabots was great and recoil wasn’t as brutal as I expected. Anyone else run slug guns in those hunts and have a setup they like?

It isn't popular to hunt with slugs in Utah, but I have a friend with one of the Savage models and hunts in Minnesota with it. He seems pretty happy with how it shoots, and he is VERY particular.
