The "one in, one out" rule

My partner made a new rule...buy a gun, sell a gun. She says the safe is full and I have a problem. I say you can always make room and we're still negotiating this. Anyone else dealing with purchase limits at home?

I'm lucky because my partner isn't one to make rules. But I limit what I buy. If I'm not using a gun, it feels more like junk than something I enjoy. If I'm not shooting it, I wonder why I still have it.

My wife is worse than I am but with shoes/handbags/clothes, etc. As long as the bills get paid, for us it goes both ways. I don't give her grief about the multiple closest overflowing and she does the same for me.

That said, I am finding that I prefer quality and being able to use what I have rather than more. I am looking at my safe and planning to thin down and refine the herd.
