Caliber debates are exhausting

Everyone has an opinion on what caliber is "best" for deer, elk, whatever. Truth is most common calibers work fine if you shoot straight..
 
Considering that a patched round ball and black powder has killed alot of critters I'd agree.
Now if you want to talk about how effective a cartridge is at longer distance and trajectory, lethality well then that's debatable. I think there's a big difference between a 243 at 400 yards on elk vs a 338 win mag.
