I’ve been trying to get ready for some high-altitude hunts. I’ve been doing a mix of hiking with a loaded pack and cardio at home to get used to the burn, even simple things like stairs or hill sprints make a difference when you hit 9,000 feet. For those who’ve hunted high altitude before, what’s your best advice to get in shape and avoid getting gassed too quickly?

Doing cardio is good but rucking with extra weight is way better. Also, train for going downhill because that's what will trash your quads

Climbing stairs with extra weight is the best way to get your legs ready for the mountains
