I saw brakes for $30 and ones for $150. Do the expensive ones actually work better or are you paying for a name? What's your experience with budget and high-end muzzle devices?

Even cheap brakes help, expensive ones just flex harder and punish everyone beside you more

Cheap brakes tame recoil, expensive ones tame recoil and your bank account’s will to live. 😂

Most of the performance is in the design itself, price mainly affects finish, fit, and sometimes mounting systems.

I tend to go with low -end but name brand muzzle devices. My favorite commercial brakes are those of Ultradyne, other than that I have them custom built by Brad Stair of Performance Guns, West Haven, Utah.
Ultradyne's pricing seems to be more realistic (read: affordable) than the other "name brand" brakes. I have never been disappointed by Ultradyne products, including their chassis'.
