I first heard about Montana Knife Company from a Dave Ramsey EntreLeadership podcast episode featuring their founder, Josh Smith. It was a pretty interesting listen—he talked about building a company focused on American-made knives and quality craftsmanship.

The knives look solid, but I’ve never handled one. Has anyone here picked one up? I'm curious about how they perform in real-world situations.

I have quite a few and they have replaced most of my other knives. I'm in Hyde Park if you are close enough and want to handle them. Shoot me a pm and I'll give you my phone number as it might be easier to chat about.

My favorite knife is a Magnacut Speedgoat that goes on every outing. I have an extremely special "Lost Batch" Blackfoot which I actually use. I did not pay for either of those knives which should be a clue if you find that story.

I'll try and post a bit more when I'm at my computer.
