I am thinking about getting a suppressor for hunting

I heard it lowers noise and recoil, which means better follow-up shots and less stress on animals and other hunters. It should also help with flinching and protect my ears during long hunts. Anyone see any cons to using one?

Suppressors are helpful, the only thing is that they add length, weight and cost to your gun. So, it's all about what the hunter prefers and how they do their thing

They're big and clunky, so moving around when you can't see is a pain...and they blast gas back at ya and heat up fast, and that can mess with your scope.

Adds lenght and weight. All because its suppressed doesn't mean its quite enough to not wear hearing protection that's Hollywood movie thing. There's more to just slapping a can on the gun.
