What was your first handgun? I remember mine like it was yesterday. Do you still own it, and how do you feel about it now? Would love to hear your stories or see some pics!

The first handgun was a Colt 1911, given to me by my retired Tooele/SLC Sheriff grandfather. It, my Model 28, a Browning .380, and my single-shot Stevens .22lr were stolen in a burglary in Murray back in 1982. Still have my Combat Magnum.

My first handgun was a cheapo Italian 25ACP given to me which proved to be absolutely worthless. Now I have many (to many) handguns, I love my many Glocks in 40 and my early production 4" S&W 686.

My first is a S&W 422.

I still have it and shoot it once in a while.

My first handgun was a Browning buck mark. I purchased it from Alied sporting goods when they were still in business on state street . I was 17 at the time and asked to purchase it. The guy at the gun counter said we can't sell you a handgun until your 18 . Then he asked me if I was going to rob or kill someone with it, my reply was hell no if I wanted to do that I'd want to buy that 357 magnum. He then said ok I'll sell it to you. Wish I remembered how much I paid for it.
I loved that store bought my 1st fly rod there for i think 20 dollars. Gart sports wanted 80 dollars for the same rod. It was in a bucket full of other rods with no tag on it. When I went to pay for it the check out lady said there's no price on it what do you think I should charge for it. 20 dollars I said ,she replied okay.
Wish they never went out of business loved that place for a kid working construction for 3.50 an hour it was about the only store I could afford gear at.
