Common mistakes new gun owners make

New gun owners often mess up basic things like grip, storage, safety checks and reading instructions. I messed up too when I first started and that's why practice and upkeep are super important. What mistakes have you seen that others should know about?

Things I've messed up when starting out purchasing firearms is buying a gun on a whim and then not liking it afterwards.
2nd beginning mistakes is collecting and getting in gunsmithing.
Talk about a drain on the wallet .
Just kidding, if you know what to buy firearms can be a very good investment just don't buy cheap guns and expect them to hold any value. Only 3 things worth buying in my opinion is precious metals, tools, guns, and classic cars
